Silberman Aging Presenters at the Society for Social Work and Research 2020

Faculty and students from Silberman Aging hosted a symposium at the annual meeting of the Society for Social Work and Research (SSWR) this past January. The symposium, Community-Engaged Research to Advance Social and Health Equity Among Diverse Older Adults, featured the community-based research and engagement conducted by Silberman Aging over the past six years. The research presented examines inequities and innovative interventions focusing on older adults.

  • Increasing LGBT Cultural Sensitivity in Aging Services: Service Providers’ Baseline Knowledge and Training Needs – Austin Oswald & Nancy Giunta

  • Promoting Community Access to Palliative and Supportive Care Among Diverse, Medically-Underserved Older Adults – Daniel Gardner & Meredith Doherty
